Saul Capilla, a 1st generation Mexican American born in Los Angeles, California, who sought opportunity in the midwest. Saul attended Southern Illinois University Edwardsville where he obtained a Bachelor of Science in Modern History. He was the first of his family to graduate high school, let alone receive a college degree. Since graduating Saul has been living in the St. Louis Metro area with his girlfriend Ana, and two pets, Rory and Zoey. Directly out of college Saul found employment in the healthcare industry as an outreach worker and dental patient support assistant. He has been actively involved in the STL community working with various health care organizations by coordinating events and working with local charities such as Wigs For Kids.
Wigs for Kids is an organization that provides hair replacement systems and support for children who have experienced hair loss due to chemotherapy, radiation therapy, Alopecia, Trichotillomania, burns and other medical issues at no cost to children or their families. Saul noticed an opportunity to help and just recently donated 14 inches of his own hair to help give back to those in need. This was a process he started back in 2016, stating “it has always been a goal of mine to donate hair, especially for the kids who are fighting their battle with cancer. They are the real heroes.”
Saul joined the MDI team in September of 2019 as a territory sales representative for downtown St.Louis and southern Illinois. After working for MDI for a few months, Saul had this to say, “I really enjoy my role with MDI, I feel that sales is what I always saw myself doing. Getting the opportunity to interact with people and help them obtain their business goals is very rewarding. Everyone at MDI has been amazing, they have always helped me and supported me 100% of the time. Anything I need, I can always count on my team. I look forward to some of the great opportunities that are ahead with MDI and ExxonMobil.”
